Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full-Time, Monday – Friday

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Designs and implements short and long term IT department internal communication plans and strategies for clear and consistent employee messaging that strengthens engagement connection to the organization’s mission, vision, values and promote greater awareness of the department’s guiding principles and strategic priorities.

  • Develops and maintains communication vehicles (digital, face-to-face, print) that effectively build and grow employees understanding of and alignment to departmental services and solutions.

  • Partners and advises executive and senior leaders in creating department messaging and communication materials that informs/updates employees on key services and initiatives, promotes adoption of guiding principles in department operations and implementations, and creates awareness of new processes and organizational changes.

  • Consults with leadership to communicate organizational changes in a clear and inspiring way, facilitating the implementation of the change and deflecting resistance through effective communication and influencing skills.

  • Serves as a creative resource to department leaders in facilitating communication ideas and opportunities that further build team/department connection, engagement and cultural identity.

  • Establishes and maintains department and organizational working relationships (e.g., Human Resources, Organizational Development, PMO, Corporate Communications) to ensure clear and timely messaging is facilitated across the department.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • 4-year college degree in public relations, journalism, communications or related field

  • Minimum 5-year experience in writing within the healthcare industry

  • Strong creative, strategic, and organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate will all levels of leadership and staff

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Job Summary:

This position oversees the IT department internal communications strategy, partnering with IT executive leaders (Divisional CIOs, Corporate CTO and Corporate CIO) to advise and create employee messaging that builds alignment to the organization’s mission, vision and values, and strengthens understanding of and connection to the department’s guiding principles and strategic priorities. This position directs internal communication efforts for a staff of over 1700, including 80+ leaders across multiple campuses and locations.

This position is responsible for facilitating open communications and building relationships among leadership and staff to more clearly and effectively execute initiatives, services and solutions to enable the organization to successfully meet their goals.

This position is responsible for developing the overall department communication plans, delivery channels and vehicles, initiatives as well as planned events and activities that encourages employee connections and fosters a passion for their work, the workplace and its culture.
