You Will Be Responsible For:
Source equipment based on specifications and needs of stakeholders, analyze that offerings meet the needs, suppliers are on contract as our standards, and pricing proposals are consistent with contracts. Resolve discrepancies and develops summary where the need arises to use a non-contracted supplier.
Performs research on equipment and/or suppliers and identifies several that could be considered for specific contracts.
Research, and reconcile orders for construction capital.
Analyze and manage master planning/procurement files; reconcile all related functions (orders, amounts, status) and develop month end budget to actual cost analysis for each project for delivery to CFO’s.
Reconcile monthly payment applications from general contractor for processing payment.
Understand what is needed to complete transactions and accurately and completely prepares needed documents meeting the construction timelines of the project.
Analyze floor plans to help build project capital equipment planning data as needed; reconciling discrepancies to data as needed.
What You Will Need
High School diploma and 5+ years’ experience working in a business field
Bachelor’s degree, preferred
Previous experience sourcing/purchasing medical equipment in healthcare of 5+ years, preferred
Construction project participation in a support role, preferred
Knowledge of accounting practices, preferred
Thorough knowledge of medical equipment and construction activities, preferred
Experience using Attainia capital equipment planning software, preferred
The construction Specialist will be responsible for construction related capital requisitions and general contractor pay applications. Additionally, this position will assist with sourcing equipment working with the project managers/equipment planners to assist with maintenance of equipment planning documents. Understand the requirements of the stakeholder, help analyze and determine equipment that will meet the need, identifying those that are on contract, determining if price quotes are according to contracts, and assist with completing a financial analysis of the options to be used as part of the selection process. This position will also prepare month end reports showing the budget to actual progress on construction projects. Additionally, as equipment is selected by the facility, the construction specialist must prepare all needed documents and ensure that information going to the facility is complete and accurate and meets the timelines in the construction schedule. May need to travel up to 25% of the time to facilitate equipment selection process.
