The role you’ll contribute:
The Executive Director of Finance (ED) must possess a variety of skillsets and is expected to be a chief financial officer in training. The ED will function in both a strategic and tactical role as well as analytical and managerial role, depending on the initiative. The ED must have a thorough financial acumen around physician practice finances, to include both fee for service and population health environments.
The ED will assess the financial viability, opportunity and risk of PCN growth, as well as think strategically around ways to drive economic success of current and future operations. The ED will help develop business plans and educate senior leadership on the new opportunities being assessed.
For existing operations, the ED will oversee production of monthly financial statements (in connection with a central accounting team), the budget process, the capital process, and measure accountability around financial targets. The ED will oversee the development of necessary analytical packages and develop reports benchmarking PCN against market competitors.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Manage monthly financial close and ensure dissemination of financial reporting packages for key stakeholders
Manage the development and tracking of the annual operating and capital budgets
Special effort to train operational managers in budget preparation and accountability
Develop models to forecast and track optimal PCN economics, including revenue optimization and cost reduction strategies
Work closely with the compensation management team to ensure that physician and APP compensation is calculated correctly and communicated properly
Provide financial reporting and support for the Concert Health behavioral initiative, including negotiating the Concert Health contracts.
Assists in development of strategic plans for PCN
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Five (5) years of experience in healthcare analytics/auditing, public accounting or related field; and supervisory or customer relationship experience
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare (equivalent business experience may also suffice)
• CPA desirable
