The role you’ll contribute:
The Scheduling Clinical Informatics Specialist for AdventHealth is a resource for team member scheduling and related applications used at AdventHealth. The Specialist leads and coordinates multidisciplinary build, design, configuration, testing and implementation of changes for team member scheduling applications. The Specialist is also involved with application support, preforming troubleshooting, and issue resolution within the IT system. Skilled at data collection and analysis of the quality of care delivered to patients. Assists with identifying and mitigating variability, fragmentation, and waste in overall clinical operations and processes. Ensures Clinical Practice integrates with team member scheduling and staffing practices. Documents real-time data points and operational processes to contribute to the design of an environment of high reliability and responsiveness for systems and resources supporting effective patient-centered care and flow. The Specialist communicates and collaborates with Leadership to ensure outstanding customer service and assists in the development of departmental goals and objectives in accordance with AHS Core Values and strategic priorities.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Utilizes clinical and operations experience to design, build, implement and optimization of team member scheduling applications. Utilizes knowledge of appropriate systems necessary to support the customer including applications, technology, and business/operational practices. Utilizes knowledge of operational system functionality to ensure performance improvement and promote strategic alignment in resource utilization. Assesses business and user needs, benefits, functionality, feasibility, impact to workflow, and compliance to standards.
Optimizes, maintains, and supports application/system as required. Provides on-call support. Conducts daily troubleshooting of user issues related to team member scheduling. Plans, tests, and supports application upgrades. Test configurations and workflow changes, develop test scripts, document testing results per project requirements. Performs unit, system and integration testing per standard and documents outcomes. Interacts with frontline employees, leads, supervisors, managers, directors and VPs to support and maximize program optimization in both clinical and non-clinical areas.
Performs a wide range of duties as assigned or directed, to facilitate the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Management Information Systems, Business or related healthcare field.
Two years of experience in healthcare operations with an inpatient and/or clinical performance improvement focus
Experience in UKG Dimensions Scheduling.
Able to teach, train, and mentor end users in relation to technology with experience in developing training materials for users with various skill levels.
Experience documenting workflow design and identify areas for improvement.
Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues to resolution.
Current valid Florida State Licensure as a Registered Nurse preferred
