Schedule: Full Time, salaried at 40 hours per week.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Senior Financial Analyst home-based services applies technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to provide solutions/improvements within the home-based services departments and the CBO. This person conducts on-going analysis, compilation and synthesis of home health and hospice data into information useful for decision making. Facilitates EOM closing of revenue in Homecare Homebase and Epic. Compiles data to produce monthly ScoreCards on home health and hospice agencies. Prepares bill hold graphs and benchmarking reports on key industry metrics. Provides support to AIT in financial areas for set-up and report development of the home care software. Assists the home health and hospice management teams and the Primary Health Division (PHD) of AdventHealth (AH) executive management teams with understanding how to best utilize the information. Provides ad hoc analysis as requested by the home-based services management team and PHD executives. Involved with month end consolidation and reporting for all Home Health and Hospice agencies. Character traits include: strong work ethic, trainability, communicative, team player all with a positive “can do” attitude. Intermediate Excel skills required.

· This position is under constant pressure and stress because of the deadlines. The ability to be well organized is a must to get regular workload and special assignments done on time. Detail oriented: must keep files in order and deadlines met.

· The individual in this position works directly with the Home Health, Hospice and PHD finance and accounting teams, and at time with various accountants, controllers, and CFOs at other AH entities. Has contact with PHD accounting personnel, etc. via telephone and email where friendliness, tact and courtesy is important to project the proper image for the corporation.

· Pleasant working conditions. Normal office working hours are Monday through Friday. This person works extra hours to complete various tasks. Stress levels will occasionally be high at certain times of the year.

· Works the 40 hours required for this position and performs work responsibilities during work hours. Obtains approval in advance from supervisor when scheduling time out of the office. Notifies supervisor a minimum of two weeks in advance when scheduling vacation time.

· Represents the department and company positively in appearance, conduct and demeanor; assesses own level of skill in speaking and listening; seeks to improve these areas while demonstrating maturity and self-confidence in interactions with clients and team members in daily activities.

· Follows and promotes the SHARE principles in the work area and contacts with staff from the facilities, as promoted by AHS.

· Follows Employee Guidelines including company’s values and behavior required by the Compliance Program.

The Senior Financial Analyst duties and responsibilities include a portion of the following:

Routine (Monthly/Annually)

CBO

· Compile monthly data required to populate dashboards and reports.

· Closing process in both Homecare Homebase and Epic.

· Reconcile and validate monthly financial and statistical data.

· Run routine audits to ensure data integrity in all reports and dashboards.

· Create templates and reports to support annual budget review process.

· Compile and publish updated benchmark survey data.

· Maintain mapping documents.

· Assures adherence to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan.

· Assist in Cash Posting and Reconciliation functions as needed.

· Co-ordinate with Corporate Reconciliation staff.

· Co-ordinate with PFS Director and Corporate Reconciliation/Cash Posting staff on electronic EOB initiatives.

Home Health & Hospice

· Assist with Month End reporting for all Home Health and Hospice Agencies across all divisions and hospital departments.

· Assist with consolidation of information for submission to PHD finance/accounting team.

· Coordination of information for monthly senior leadership presentations.

Ongoing/Ad-hoc (CBO, Home Health, & Hospice)

· Support ad-hoc financial reporting or decision support needs

· Create and/or maintain new and/or existing dashboards and reports.

· Support data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives.

Other

· Creates and maintains an up-to-date status report of all priorities, tasks, and issues on a weekly basis.

· Effectively collects, analyzes, and create solutions to report data. Uses intuition and experience to interpret data and identifies data relationships and dependencies.

· Sufficiently documents work and ensures cross-training with peers.

· Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness with data. Monitors own work to ensure quality.

· Consistently reviews and validates numerical data based on a thorough understanding of financial concepts and healthcare principles.

· Demonstrates competency in required job skills and exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully and resolves problems in early stages with minimal supervision.

· Demonstrates proactiveness and resourcefulness in finding answers and solutions.

· Actively and honestly communicates relevant information to supervisor and other team members in a timely manner, taking necessary precautions to guard confidential information

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications :

· Decision Support/Business Intelligence experience

· Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)

· Must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel

· 3-5 years of finance/healthcare experience

· Position requires a level of knowledge and training obtained through a college education. A degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related is required.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required.

· The Senior Financial Analyst & Cash Posting Manager role requires experience, which may vary based on the tasks that the employee is responsible for. Must be able to follow instructions and demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn.

· Independent decisions are required to determine the best method to complete assigned tasks. However, the person in this position has latitude in developing a plan to reach the desired results

· Healthcare information systems (Homecare Homebase/Epic)

· Business Intelligence Software (QlikView)

· PeopleSoft

· Axiom

· 5 years of business-related experience.
