The community you’ll be caring for:

• AdventHealth Apopka is a seven-story, 120-bed hospital offering an extensive range of services including expanded surgical services, advanced surgical suites and a catheterization lab

• The hospital also features a 30,000-square-foot emergency department with pediatric-friendly beds, imaging services, a full-service cafeteria, chapel, gift shop and on-site fire station

• The hospital opened in December 2017, replacing the 50-bed hospital that AdventHealth had operated in downtown Apopka for more than four decades

The role you’ll contribute:

The Director of Imaging and Cardiology is responsible for the operational and strategic leadership for Imaging and

Cardiology department across multiple hospital sites within the Central Florida Division. Responsible for all diagnostic

and procedural Imaging and Cardiovascular services offered at hospital location(s) (CT, MRI, General X-ray, Ultrasound,

Nuclear Medicine, Women's Medicine, Support, PET/CT, Angiography, Cath Lab, Interventional CT, X-ray Specials,

Interventional Ultrasound). Works closely with Campus Administration, Cardiology and Imaging Service Line

Leadership, Cardiologist and Radiologist Leadership, and the Imaging department management team in developing

strategic and operational plans to meet the community and medical staff needs. Involvement in the development of annual

capital, building and renovation plans to meet Imaging and Cardiology department needs at the Campus. Supports a

culture of continuous improvement that promotes and defines program excellence in the five areas of: Clinical, Service,

Team, Market and Finance. Is a part of the management team responsible for expanded partner development and

relationships. Meets with customers, partners, and team members to assure service levels are maintained. Actively

participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally

respectful to all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

•Operations and strategic leadership oversight for the Imaging and Cardiology department for a multiple sites within the Central Florida Division

•Execution of regional initiatives driving clinical excellence for Imaging and Cardiology services across emergency, inpatient, surgical, and outpatient settings.

•Financial oversight of a multi-million-dollar revenue and expense budget with performance accountability as demonstrated by achieving financial goals including efficiency improvement and supply management.

•Hires, orients, evaluates, and rewards/disciplines leadership for the Imaging and Cardiology department. Oversees all human resource activities within the department. Maintains high staff engagement as demonstrated by employee engagement scores/staff retention rates.

•Ensures exceptional patient experience is achieved in assigned areas as demonstrated by achievement of patient experience results.

•Oversight of the efficiency, effectiveness and utilization of the procedural areas, staff and equipment.

•Improves quality, ensuring that Imaging and Cardiology deliver the right procedure or test to the right patient at the right time, as demonstrated by on-time delivery of results and clinical quality measurement of Imaging and Cardiology exams and procedures. Continually deliver quality diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional patient care services. Practices and enforces safety guidelines. •Develops and implements strategic plans for all aspects of Imaging and Cardiology operations including budgets and process improvement activities.

•Manages position relationships within the Imaging and Cardiology departments, interdepartmentally, with customers, and the medical staff.

•Provides oversight of capital equipment and department construction projects; working closely with vendor partners to implement new technologies at hospital locations. •Ensures that all regulatory standards are met and maintained at the campus.

•Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the department.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

•Three (3) years' experience managing in a procedural and/or clinical setting

•Five (5) years' clinical experience within Imaging or Cardiology

•Bachelor's Degree in Radiology, Health Care Administration or related field OR 8 years of equivalent experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

•Imaging or Cardiology management experience

•Experience working with physicians

•Project management experience

•Master's Degree in Radiology, Health Care Administration or related field

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

•ARRT credentials in at least one modality

•State of Florida licensure in Imaging Modality

•Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA)

•Registered Nurse (RN)

•Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International

•Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
