Work Hours/Shifts:

Full-time Day Shift Dialysis

You Will Be Responsible For:

Dialysis Specific:

  • Perform patient assessment prior to treatment and proceed with treatment based on such assessments and physician's orders.

  • Rinse, prime and position all appropriate equipment, attach all required tubing, prepare and administer all medications

  • Obtain blood samples and other specimens as indicated by patient's condition or as ordered.

  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by following infection control procedures.

  • Clean and dress access sites using appropriate aseptic techniques

  • Provides education to patients and families

  • Demonstrates proficient technical skills and operational knowledge on all equipment used on the unit

Charge Nurse:

  • Assist the Manager/Director in development, implementation and evaluation of on-going service programs which assure quality nursing and patient care programs consistent with the hospital mission.

  • Communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal or external customers

  • Collaborates with the manager/director to a service that is consistent with the patient care beliefs and shared management philosophy of the department.

  • In collaboration with the manager/director, is responsible for effective and efficient fiscal management of department operations to ensure proper utilization of organizational and financial resources.

  • Manages human resources to ensure quality services and promote positive employee relations.

  • Serves as a role model and resource to staff.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • ASN degree

  • Current GA RN license

  • Current AHA BLS & ACLS required

  • Previous or current dialysis experience required

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients on the unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of related clinical activities.
