Full-time Day Shift Dialysis
You Will Be Responsible For:
Perform patient assessment prior to treatment and proceed with treatment based on such assessments and physician's orders.
Rinse, prime and position all appropriate equipment, attach all required tubing, prepare and administer all medications
Obtain blood samples and other specimens as indicated by patient's condition or as ordered.
Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by following infection control procedures.
Clean and dress access sites using appropriate aseptic techniques
Provides education to patients and families
Demonstrates proficient technical skills and operational knowledge on all equipment used on the unit
Assist the Manager/Director in development, implementation and evaluation of on-going service programs which assure quality nursing and patient care programs consistent with the hospital mission.
Communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal or external customers
Collaborates with the manager/director to a service that is consistent with the patient care beliefs and shared management philosophy of the department.
In collaboration with the manager/director, is responsible for effective and efficient fiscal management of department operations to ensure proper utilization of organizational and financial resources.
Manages human resources to ensure quality services and promote positive employee relations.
Serves as a role model and resource to staff.
What You Will Need:
Current GA RN license
Current AHA BLS & ACLS required
Previous or current dialysis experience required
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients on the unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of related clinical activities.
