Work Hours/Shift:

Part-Time - Either 3 (8 hr shifts) or 4 (6 hr shifts)

 

You Will Be Responsible For:

Obtains demographic/insurance information through patient and/or family member interviews

Ensures Insurance requirements and authorizations are obtained to guarantee proper

Ensure that documentation meets standards and policies

Maintaining knowledge of collections functions and physician coding/billing

Scheduling and Switchboard


Qualifications

What You Will Need:

GED or high school diploma required

Typing is required

Customer service skills required

1 year of previous verifiable experience preferred

Physician coding preferred

Job Summary:

The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, registration, pre-authorizations,

collections and other miscellaneous office duties for all patients obtaining service at Gordon

Hospital’s Radiation Therapy Center. Personnel provide patients with information regarding living

wills, advance directives, conditions of admission, patient rights, and financial responsibilities, while

obtaining all necessary demographic, insurance, and other information or signatures necessary to

complete the admitting/registration process. All activities are completed in compliance with the

applicable state, federal, or regulatory guideline
