Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Performs case-finding duties.

  • Abstracts reportable charts into registry.

  • Performs follow up on all accessions.

  • Reports monthly to state.

  • Reports quarterly to Cancer Committee.

  • Ensures all COC standards are met regarding the Cancer Programs.

  • Prepares for tumor boards.

  • Will perform any additional duties requested in a flexible and positive manner.

  • Will complete request by state for any additional information such as “death clearance” and NCDB.


What You Will Need:

  • Associates Degree

  • Certified Tumor Registrar Certification

  • Medical Terminology

  • Anatomy and Physiology

  • Understand functionality of Cerner and Aria

  • Understand functionality of Metriq Software

  • Understand functionality of State and NAACCR Edits

  • Good computer knowledge of Encryption software

  • Good organizational skills for preparing tumor boards

  • Understand requirements for meeting COC Standards

  • Good record keeping skills to present at Cancer Committee

Job Summary:

Performs assignment of ICD0, Summary Stage, Extent of Disease, Collaborative Stage and the AJCC Staging for all malignant cancer cases deemed reportable by the GCCR.
