Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Provides leadership for all supply chain functions including sourcing, procurement, inventory management and distribution to manage performance and meet customer requirements

  • Maintains a strong understanding of the clinical needs of the professional staff; and how all aspects of the supply chain from product evaluation to purchasing to receiving to point of use can affect clinical outcomes if not managed properly

  • Supports department budgets for all supply chain functions and achievement of organizational supply chain targets

  • Assists facility department leadership with understanding and controlling expenses

  • Implements internal controls, information technology solutions and ensures compliance with all contracts to achieve financial targets

  • Directly manages all Supply Chain Staff at both locations

  • Works collaboratively with AHS Supply Chain /Shared Services to ensure open communication and issue resolution with local facilities

  • Creates opportunities for collaboration across facilities within the region and serve as a conduit between facilities, the region, and corporate

  • Supports the development and implementation of processes that will streamline operations and create savings for the region; works closely with Value Added Teams (VAT) to support these initiatives

  • Oversees efforts to select and train new Supply Chain Staff personnel in the offsite facilities

  • Creates and implements supply chain standards and goals

  • Builds and manages relationships with Regional leadership to ensure supply chain is a strategic financial partner within the region and supply chain strategies are in sync with financial, functional, and clinical strategies

  • Responsible for education, communication, and adoption of corporate initiatives and contracts, follow-up on implementation activities, and providing support and interface with hospital departments as needed to accomplish goals

  • Processes capital requisitions forms analyze capital quotes with MDBuyline reports and work with vendors to ensure pricing is aligned, place capital requisitions in PeopleSoft.

  • Responsible for the hiring process for departments. Completes performance evaluations timely and is involved in employee counseling, coaching and termination per policy. Provides orientation for new employees and ensures compliance with department policy and procedure. Maintains high levels of employee engagement and job performance by providing recognition and opportunities for learning.


What You Will Need:

  • Critical thinking skills needed to plan & implement new best in class supply chain processes or revise existing processes resulting in the same

  • Self-Starter who can work with minimal to no oversight

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4-8 years of experience in Supply Chain in lieu of degree

  • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Supply Chain certification preferred (CMRP,APEX,CMIS, Process Improvement)

Job Summary:

The Manager of Materials Management is responsible for providing leadership at both AdventHealth Gordon & Murray facilities. This includes developing, implementing, measuring, and managing all supply chain efforts in these locations. This position also oversees supply chain operations (receiving, distribution, inventory management, value analysis, customer service, etc.), and ensures alignment with region and system initiatives. Manages the deployment of efforts related to, contract compliance, conversions, utilization, and standardization of supplies, services, and equipment. Responsible for understanding all non-labor facility expenses, creating and implementing proactive strategies to improve processes, reducing supply and purchased services expense across the facilities, and ensuring best practices in place to monitor, control, and identify issues or unintended consequences.

Collaborate and build relationships with department and hospital leadership on initiatives that support care delivery in a cost-effective manner that meets the clinical, operational and quality patient care needs of the hospital.
