GENERAL SUMMARY :

Full-Time Position. The APP, under the supervision of the physician, provides assessment and treatment to adult and geriatric oncology patients.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provides primary care, medical oncology care and treatment to patients under the auspices of the supervising physician.

• Assures timely and accurate entries of medical histories, progress notes and treatment recommendations in the patients’ medical records.

• Assures all patient management documentation, including pharmaceutical modalities, as outlined in the patient’s medical record and signed by the supervising physician.

• Practices within the scope of each practice as delineated by education and training including, but not limited to prescriptive privileges and in accordance with supervising physician guidelines.

• Refers patients for laboratory, x-ray and specialty care for needed services that cannot be provided at the practice.

• Assures that adequate patient health records are maintained and confidentiality is maintained under HIPAA regulations.

• Participates with supervising physician in a periodic review of the patients’ health records.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Master’s degree and certification from an accredited ARNP program.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :

Experience in a medical oncology setting or primary care.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED :

• Current GA license.

• Current BLS.

• Current ACLS

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATIO PREFERRED:

• ONS Chemotherapy Certification
