Location: AdventHealth - Calhoun, 30701

The role you’ll contribute:

Designs and develops reports and graphs to meet the informational needs of the Regional Facility Hospitals. Primary responsibilities include managerial supervision of Region wide ad-hoc reporting and data analysis, strategic planning and performance development and management of cost accounting systems. Demonstrates ability to analyze problems, analyze and present appropriate data, recommend new and/or modified procedures and facilitate implementation. Maintains established standards and protocols of the assigned unit and AdventHealth goals and objectives.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Prepares or oversees month-end statistical reports submitted to AdventHealth or other Region Facility leadership

· Assists leadership in the analysis of data available at month end

· Oversees submission of data for daily statistics report including internal statistics and CFO Report

· Reviews data submissions from corporate departments for accurate presentation

· Provides support for the Cost Accounting Systems

· Prepares and assists with Cost process, including reconciliation back to final GL reports

· Prepares cost studies for departments with high expense utilization, setting cost standards for each procedure

· Manages the annual operating and department budgets for the Market

· Assists with coordination of capital budget

· Assists Finance Leadership with initial volume assumptions

· Updates budget templates; provides training to department directors and managers as needed

· Assists Finance Leadership with review of department budgets

· Oversees technical support to the Region for budget

· Prepares studies relative to financial impact and departmental profit and loss statements as requested

· Prepares studies relative to potential new lines of business or revisions to existing lines of business for the Region as requested

· Works in conjunction with Finance Leadership to answer questions relating to operational and financial reports

· Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required as well as additional knowledge in Healthcare accounting and contractual allowances

· Four years of related experience in Accounting/Finance

· Excellent organizational skills; ability to perform complex analysis

· Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records, prepare complex spreadsheets using Excel

· Advanced analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills

· Advanced verbal and written communication skills

· Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English

· Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred qualifications:

· Certified Public Accountant license or MBA

· Two years of supervisory experience

· Five years of related experience in Accounting/Finance

· Experience with PeopleSoft Financial modules
