Work Hours/Shifts:

Full-time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Provides direction to department and facility leadership in planning of a systemic, organization-wide approach to continuous survey readiness

  • Chairs the Continuous Survey Readiness Committee

  • Coordinates the planning and execution of the TJC annual intra-cycle monitoring

  • Conducts tracer activity within the hospital and the clinic setting

  • Plans, coordinates and conducts educational programs on accreditation for employees

  • Facilitate mock surveys and assists in the development of plans for improvement

  • Prepares survey specific documentation as requested by regulatory agencies

  • Facilitates the Good Catch Program

  • Serves as liaison to the ANCC Pathways to Excellence Program Office

  • Serves as an advisor to nursing leadership team and shared governance/shared decision making councils

  • Provides a systemic approach to Pathways to Excellence project management and implementation by coordinating all phases of designation and re-designation process.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Strong organization skills including completing work by established deadlines

  • Current RN license in GA

  • ASN required; BSN strongly preferred

  • Minimum 1 years experience teaching and /or leading evidence based projects preferred

  • Minimum 3 years as an acute care nurse preferred

Job Summary:

The Accreditation/Pathways Coordinator serves as a member of the Quality Management Department. This position leads regulatory survey readiness program planning for Gordon Hospital. Coordinates survey activities for The Joint Commission (TJC), Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) and CMS Validation Surveys.
