Work Hours/Shifts:

FT Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Designs & conducts training programs meant to increase awareness of patient safety initiatives

  • Leads the Culture of Safety survey process including aggregation and dispersing of data with establishment of panel process

  • Facilitate the Good Catch Program including aggregation and dispersing data

  • Assists with Root Cause Analysis as indicated

  • Leads Fall Team

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • ASN degree required; BSN strongly preferred

  • Current GA RN license

  • Three years minimum nursing care preferred

  • Minimum one year experience with teaching and/or leading evidence-based project preferred

Job Summary:

The patient safety specialist is responsible for developing and implementing patient safety programs to reduce medical errors and health care incidents. Works collaboratively with staff to communicate all initiatives both vertically and horizontally. Gathers data detailing patient -related errors and conducts analysis for management detailing the cause of the error. Additionally, recommends changes to policies or programs that could prevent future errors.
