The role you’ll contribute:
Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of the Providers, the Medical Assistant/Patient Registration Coordinator is accountable for the patient’s first impression of the organization in addition for their care as they perform a wide variety of patient care activities including patient registration and clinical duties. Adheres to state, federal and organizational guidelines to ensure quality care and patient safety with support from the Clinical Excellence team. Is essential in maintaining organization and facilitating patient flow. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Successful completion of all Medical Assistant Core Skills, as well as additional competencies which are specialty specific, as defined within the Scope of Practice for CHPG Medical Assistants.
Successful completion of assigned/required courses in online learning platform.
Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patient’s response and reports to responsible provider to ensure optimal patient outcome.
Contributes to the development and implementation of patient plan of care and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; determine presence/absence of barriers to active participation in the individualized care plan and ability to self‐manage their health conditions, with the purpose of planning patient care and care coordination.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
