The role you'll contribute:

Under the general direction of the Regional Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting in the fiscal operations of the RMR Market facility hospitals (the "Market"). Maintains established standards and protocols of the assigned unit and AdventHealth's goals and objectives.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Organize and prepare journal entries, miscellaneous cash entries and reclassification entries for the review of the Regional Accounting Manager. Assist with closing the ledgers each month and at year end, i.e. preparing and posting accruals and reconcile balance sheet accounts. (General Ledger)

• Assists in researching questions from Management teams relating to monthly responsibility reports. Reclassification entries made as necessary. (General Ledger)

• Assists the Regional Accounting Manager to ensure that monthly regulatory, corporate and internal deadlines are achieved. (General Ledger)

• Assists with preparation, proofing, assembly and organization of monthly financial statements. (General Ledger)

• Assist Senior Accountants with capital inventories; mid-year and year end audits, cost reports and corporate checklists; preparing and analyzing accruals; and any other areas to help meet deadlines and resolve problems. (General Ledger)

• Assist Senior Accountant with inter-facility and department allocations, billing and reconciling. (General Ledger)

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in Accounting required.
