AdventHealth Respiratory Therapist CRT PRN Days in Dade City, Florida
Responsible for the administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care procedures necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, pulmonary rehabilitative, or diagnostic regime prescribed by a physician. The transcription and implementation of the written or verbal orders of a physician pertaining to the practice of respiratory care. Proper assessment, observation and monitoring of signs and symptoms, general behavior, and general physical response to respiratory care treatments and diagnostic testing. Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities. Implement changes in treatment pursuant to the written or verbal orders of a physician. The ability to assess and initiate emergency procedures. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery to achieve desired patient outcomes. Performs all other duties required.
Prior critical care experience and proficiency in Endotracheal Intubation and arterial line insertion preferred. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the individual must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients requirements relative to his or her age specific needs, and to provide the care as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.
Licensed by the Board of Medicine to practice in the State of Florida as CRT (TT).
Current BLS certification and current ACLS or Advanced Airway certificate upon hire
