Full Time - Days
The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Staff RN demonstrates a specific knowledge base and clinical expertise in chronic wound care. Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care of chronic wounds. Provides direct and indirect patient care. Acts as a resource person for physician, nursing staff, other health care professionals and agencies in the community.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Computer skills in Microsoft office and be adaptable to new software programs.
· Non-routine work environment. Must be able to use independent judgment in most situations. Requires self-motivation, multi-tasking, persistence, and efficiency with time management. Assists the department manager in the overall assessment, planning, evaluation and goal setting for FHMMC Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine. Continuing attention is given to improving quality, reducing expenses, and developing opportunities to build revenue. Works both independently and collaboratively with all FHMMC healthcare disciplines and the community. Assists colleagues with various projects. Initiates new projects and assignments as delegated. Identifies problem areas and determines possible solutions. Utilizes critical thinking and analytical skills in daily work.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Minimum of 2 years Med-Surg/ICU experience.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
· Current Florida RN licensure or LPN licensure with wound care certification.
· Basic Life Support (BLS)
