The role you'll contribute:
Perform patient care duties in the medical practice to support medical providers and nursing in the examination and treatment of clinic patients. These staff members function under the supervision and authority of the licensed physician, or non-physician provider licensed in State of Colorado. Maintains efficient patient flow, supports an environment of patient safety and satisfaction, and demonstrates problem-solving skills. Constructively collaborates with team to find the optimal office efficiencies while maintaining patient centered care. Schedules appointments, greets patients, and prepares healthcare records; verifies insurance benefits; maintains various records and databases of information; prepares correspondence and reports; assists the supervising physician in direct patient care, including exams and treatments within the office setting. Responds to caller general information requests and inquiries; refers callers to appropriate area; performs other duties as assigned. Responsible delivering athletic training services at participating schools and for community events as appropriate. Administers treatments and physical agents as prescribed to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability in the health care or high school setting. Implements the proper referral for further medical attention when necessary. Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the department. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The Certified Athletic Trainer will assist with day-to-day operations, work closely with other staff, physicians, student athletes, parents, and other clients. Ensures that patient changes are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs.

Ability to observe and evaluate treatment effect, recommends change to physician/therapist as needed. Selects age-appropriate activities based on the athlete's/client's physical capacity, intelligence level and interest.
Ability to perform an appropriate assessment on all athletes/clients and performs reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, adolescent, geriatric patients, and the general patient population.
Obtain and insert required documentation into medical record, including radiology reports and patient correspondence into electronic medical record consistently.
Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate.
Demonstrates knowledge of modalities, joint mobilizations, manual therapy techniques, gait training and exercise prescription.
Treats patients/clients and their families with respect and dignity.
Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.
Qualifications

Required:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 plus years of experience.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker.
