Pay Range: $64.37/hour - $105.45/hour

The role you'll contribute:

The RMR Service Line Director for Oncology Services is directly responsible for the cancer programs across the Rocky Mountain Region in the Denver Metro market. This includes key programs of medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, and infusion. The Director is responsible for the strategy, development and operational oversight and performance of inpatient and outpatient cancer service lines, physician practices and outpatient programs to fully integrate care and drive a value-based model. This may include oversight and/or leadership of practice administrators, care coordination, research, education, inpatient provider teams and ancillary support teams as needed to effectively drive performance across the care continuum. Advises/manages all service areas that impact patient care for the cancer patient population. This position is responsible for providing leadership and subject matter expertise for the cancer service line resulting in high quality outcomes and effective performance that drive state and national reputation and rankings. Plans, directs, coordinates, and serves as the administrative liaison for service line activities, projects and programs including marketing and philanthropy and any other activities oncology in nature. This position serves as the dyad leadership for Oncology, in concert with the Executive Medical Director for Oncology. The Director co-chairs, with the executive medical director the RMR governance council for Oncology.

The Service Line Director also coordinates closely with numerous hospitals, RMR, AHMG and other resources as they relate to:

· People & Culture

o Involve in the recruitment of team member and seamless teaming and integration of these team members with both employed and independent members of the medical staff to create a cohesive, high-performing team, exemplifying AdventHealth’s culture and core values.

· Quality and Patient Safety

o Supports the Executive Medical Director in the recruitment of preeminent physicians and other care providers to fuel the collective vision and growth of the service line.

o In concert with Executive Medical Director, AHMG CMO, and the medical staff leadership of each hospital, monitors all quality outcomes to ensure top quartile performance in patient safety and quality.

· Patient Experience

o Works closely with all operational and clinical departments and practices to create a seamless, top decile patient experience for all cancer patients.

· Stewardship

o Provides executive ownership for the financial sustainability of the service line.

o Coordinates with both RMR, hospital and AHMG CFOs to both establish budgets targets and ongoing monitoring of financial results to ensure performance targets are met.

· Growth

o Coordinates the development of an integrated Oncology strategic plan for the RMR in concert with RMR strategy department, individual hospital administrative and business development teams.

For all of the above pillars of performance, provides performance updates to the governance council and helps to lead key strategic discussions when needed to refine RMR’s strategic plan for Oncology.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree, particularly in a healthcare business or clinical science, master’s degree in business administration, Health Services Administration, Nursing Administration, or Nursing Sciences is highly preferred.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of diverse experience in the cancer arena, or other relative service line, with a minimum of three years of experience in program development.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years in progressively responsible administrative work or directorship of multiple departments in a hospital or hospital system.

  • Extensive experience working closely with physicians and proven ability to gain trust and credibility.

  • Extensive experience facilitating and managing challenging situations, including conflict resolution and demonstration of outstanding interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in facilitating high-level multidisciplinary group decisions.
