The role you'll contribute:

Responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s). Role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations. Demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement. Consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. Supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.

  • Evaluate productivity and collaborate with finance to forecast revenue and expenses to prepare and manage the unit/department’s budget.

  • Ensure appropriate staffing plan matching competency with patient acuity.

  • Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals Involve associates in decision through shared governance structure.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with associates, physicians, and patients.

  • Promote professional development to improve associate retention.

  • Focus on personal growth and development through involvement in professional associations and/or advancing education Begin to develop an understanding of executive presence.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required:

  • High School Diploma

  • Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN).

  • Current incumbents must achieve by July 1, 2024.

  • 3 years of RN experience required.

  • 1 year of clinical leadership experience.

  • Current RN license to practice in CO as applicable.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Source: American Heart Association

  • Nursing Specialty Certification. Must achieve and maintain professional certification within two years of hire or if transferred to the role.

Preferred:

  • Master of Science in nursing
