Location: 2535 S DOWNING ST, Denver, 80210

The role you’ll contribute:

Provides administrative support and customer service support to the Transplant department and program to facilitate quality patient care. Receives, greets and provides appropriate directions for patients, families, visitors, physicians, ancillary personnel and vendors in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner. Performs clerical and reception duties including answering multiple phone lines, taking messages, and triaging calls. Assists patients with scheduling tests and retrieves reports.

Coordinates, retrieves and communicates patient information including diagnostic and lab results to physicians, staff, and other departments. Prepares patients for clinic including rooming patient, taking vital signs and assisting with order requests. Prepares patient charts and maintains database for patient presentations. Assists nursing with UNOS form requirements.

  • Greets patients, family members, physicians, staff and vendors.

  • Answers incoming call promptly in a pleasant, helpful manner. Triages incoming calls and obtains accurate and appropriate information for messages. Delivers messages in a timely manner.

  • Communicates with other departments as needed to facilitate efficient patient care.

  • Maintains adequate office supplies and coordinates office machine maintenance.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program

  • Certificate of competition from a Medical Assistant program or current Colorado CNA licensure

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
