The role you’ll contribute: Prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage, as listed on patient orders. To provide safe and accurate medication services and to support all those involved in direct patient care.

Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in:
· Standard work parameters
· Operational programs
· Delivery and compounding systems
· Hospital computer systems
· Medication ordering systems
Maintains operational expertise in and actively provides coverage of the technician services provided by
· Central Pharmacy
· IV Room
· Delivery
· Controlled Substances
Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems
· Accurately interprets electronic records
· Maintains expertise in Cerner processes
Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patient‐specific medication doses
· Manages medication delivery activities
· Prepares accurate medication products for delivery
· Prevents improper drug, dose, dosage form selection, expiration dating, and barcode scanning issues when checking products
· Performs oral and injectable product compounding
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) OR Current, valid State Pharmacist Intern license if applicable to state
Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation
