The role you’ll contribute:

The Director of Managed Care is the primary contact in managed care opportunities, negotiating contracts, problem solving and providing resolutions related to healthcare payers. Identifies opportunities for AdventHealth Hendersonville and AdventHealth Manchester to assist in meeting the healthcare needs of the community by developing a strategic plan, implementing plan, evaluating effectiveness and updating plan as warranted.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Maintain positive relationships with AdventHealth local and corporate leadership, managed care organizations and local employers.

• Facilitate the understanding of managed care contracts and terms within the hospital departments, urgent care, home health, physician practices and any other related legal entity.

• Continually re-evaluate managed care contracts, analyzing for market share, strategic opportunities, profitability, and competitiveness.

• Negotiate contract language terms and rates timely and when appropriate.

• Monitor the financial, operational, and strategic impact of each managed care relationship to identify areas for improvement.

• Work with each billing department on managed care claim issues.

• Work with and assisting the CFO with operational or special projects, which include the annual budget templates and market summary overviews.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration in healthcare related field strongly preferred.

• A minimum of five years of health care leadership experience required in managed care with an emphasis on contracting, contract administration and strategic planning for hospital, ancillary and physician services
