The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Lake Wales

• AdventHealth Lake Wales is a licensed 160-bed hospital, with 24-hour emergency care and outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab and wound care, that has been serving the community and surrounding areas.

• As a part of the AdventHealth network patients will have greater access to a wide range of innovative therapies, new research, leading-edge technology and an extensive team of medical specialists.

• Lake Wales is located in Central Florida in between Orlando and Tampa and is home to the Historic Bok Tower Gardens and Bird Sanctuary.

The role you’ll contribute:

Routinely assigns repair and preventive work orders as necessary to maintain equipment and building in excellent working condition. Periodically verifies that completed work orders contain required information on parts, work time and description of work performed. Performs Technicians annual and quarterly evaluation, review Technicians PDO request. Responsible for training new hires and all other night and weekend staff. Communicates effectively with all other departments and changes work orders priorities to respond to emergency situations. Maintains professional competency through continuing education and training for staff by attending Seminars or meetings of professional organizations. Must be available by phone if needed in an emergency situation. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

• General Maintenance experience

• General knowledge of all of the following maintenance areas:Air conditioning, Plumbing, Electrical, fire alarm system, tube system, telephones, paging system and the power plant systems. In Dept 8660 this may include knowledge of mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics and steam generation systems.
