The role you'll contribute:

This Senior level role will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors by primarily cleaning procedural areas including the Operating Room, GI, Cath Lab, IR, Pharmacy Clean Rooms, Sterile Processing, and terminal cleans following procedures and standards established by the department. Will provide excellent customer services when working with patients, visitors and other staff members. This Specialist will have industry knowledge in the cleaning of specific departments such as the Emergency Department, Operating Rooms and other unique procedural areas.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Responsible for terminal cleaning of procedural areas.

• Performs cleaning and sanitizing procedures of walls, vents, ledges, and windows.

• Perform checkout cleaning procedure in patient room according to departmental policies and procedures, including medical equipment.

• Perform 6 step daily cleaning procedure in patient room to a level acceptable to the patient.

• Perform intensive cleaning procedures in specialty areas such as Emergency Department, Surgery, Interventional Radiology and Pharmacy to a level acceptable that eliminates the risk of infection to the patient.

• Perform technical cleaning procedures such as mopping and scrubbing floors, using appropriate equipment and chemical dilution. Perform carpet and hard surface floor care including stripping, refinishing, bonnet cleaning, extraction, and polishing.

• Stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Required:

• Minimum six months of institutional or commercial cleaning experience, completed competency checklist or equivalent experience in an institutional or commercial setting.

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or GED
