Work Hours/Shift:

PRN Nights, minimum of 2 shifts per month

 

You Will Be Responsible For:

Provide Nursing Care/Skills to Antepartum, Labor, Postpartum and Nursery Patients 

Assess Patients and Respond to Changes in Patient Condition

Provide Oversight to OB Staff Related to Patient Care Assignments

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

Two year associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred

Three years OB experience preferred

Maintains professional licensure of a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required

BLS required

Maintains NRP within 6 months of hire date required

Maintains ACLS within 6 months of hire date required

Successfully completes basic arrhythmia interpretation during orientation phase required

STABLE certification preferred


Job Summary:

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the obstetrics/gynecology and newborn nursery setting. Communicates with physician’s/team leaders/coworkers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition or response to treatment. Additionally, can perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
