Work Hours/Shift

FT, 36 hours per week, Monday thru Friday w/flexible hours, 7a to 4p w/ 7 to 14 days of call per month required.  Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital.


You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Assess patients and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Manage emergency patient situations such as codes
  • Maintain mental and reasoning capabilities
  • Ability to prioritize work



What you will need:
  • Associate's degree in nursing required
  • Successfully completes basic arrhythmia interpretation required
  • Maintains professional licensure of a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required
  • Maintains CPR certification required
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire date
  • PALS certification required within 6 months of hire date
  • Knowledge of the care of the pediatric patient required
  • Knowledge of the care of the surgical patient required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • NRP and CNOR preferred

Job Summary

Provide direct and indirect patient care in the surgical setting.  Communicates with physicians/team leaders/coworkers, as appropriate about change in patients clinical condition or response to treatment can respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.  Additionally, can perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
