Work Hours/Shift:

Full-Time/Day

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Demonstrates through behavior Florida Hospital’s core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork as outlined in the organization’s New Employee Orientation. Performs, properly documents and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy. Adapts procedure to each patient’s medical situation obtaining all available necessary information for proper interpretation. Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology. Calculates information accurately. Follows through with all details to ensure a smooth and timely flow of procedures.

  • Accurately documents, completes and charges procedures to ensure quality standards set by the department and hospital. Participates in Performance Improvement projects as requested, and proactively initiates process improvement ideas.

  • Keeps supervisor informed and seeks assistance from appropriate individuals when confronted with complicated procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care. Communicates abnormal findings to the reading physicians and notifies the physicians of procedures to be interpreted. Communicates with patients and family members appropriate to age and understanding. Manages time and equipment effectively and works as a team member to provide the best patient care. Carries out assignments in a timely manner. Receives instructions, and guidance from the supervisors and is compliant with special requests as situations dictate.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of diverse backgrounds

  • Ability to function independently with little to no supervision

  • Possess management and leadership skills

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English

  • Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program certified RCS and at minimum (1) other licensure:

  1. RCS: Registered Cardiac Sonographer

  2. RVS: Registered Vascular Specialist

  3. RCCS: Registered Congenital Sonographer (Peds)

  4. ACS: Advanced Cardiac Sonographer

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • RCS and one other certification

Job Summary:

The Clinical Lead is responsible for supervising the daily technical operations of the department. Provide professional and technical support to staff, physicians, and partners to ensure efficient daily departmental operations. Develops and measures staff competencies, productivity standards, and quality assurance standards. Assures compliance with applicable departmental hospital and regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines. Analyzes workloads/workflows and assigns staff to meet demand and improve operational efficiency. Performs procedures as needed. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with stakeholders, such as physicians, hospital staff, and commercial agencies. Meets with customers, partners, and team members to assure service levels are maintained. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Plan and to rules and regulations of applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
