Work Hours/Shift:

PRN

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Demonstrates competence in scrubbing with physician; anticipating needed supplies; properly handling wires and catheters, to maintain sterile field.

  • Demonstrates appropriate priority-setting skills by anticipating needs during routine and emergent procedures.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and proper handling and preparation of supplies needed for various procedures; catheters, wires, balloons, stents, etc.

  • Demonstrates proper use of equipment that may be used during procedures; CSI, Angiojet, EKOS, compressed nitrogen, rotoblater, angiojet.

  • Adheres to policies regarding handling and removing of bio hazardous materials.

  • Monitors patient status during procedure and reports variances to physician immediately

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Clinicals or previous employment within a Cath Lab

  • RCIS and/or RTR and ARRT

  • ACLS

  • BLS

Job Summary:

The position assists the Interventional Cardiologist with the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures during cardiac catheterization and interventions. Prepares and monitors the patient before, during and after the procedures.
