You Will Be Responsible For:
Effectively plans the goals, objectives, and work flow of the department to achieve optimal performance.
Successfully meets department productivity goals by scheduling staff according to workload.
Assures the department is compliant with all regulatory agency (CAP, AABB, JCAHO, CLIA, etc.) requirements.
Prepares quality assurance data in a timely manner.
Evaluates the capital equipment needs of the department and makes responsible recommendations for procurement.
Assures the department meets corporate compliance policies.
Promotes the department within the hospital.
Assures department issues and errors are corrected in a timely manner.
Effectively promotes, encourages, and provides continuing education opportunities for department staff.
Represents the department at appropriate meetings and/or committees and actively participates in the facility’s' Performance Improvement program
Works diligently to recruit and retain competent staff in the department and effectively manages staff disciplinary actions.
Appropriately implements solutions based on accurate and timely statistical and financial data
Manages departmental inventory, ordering, storage, and utilization as appropriate
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience working in supply chain department OR
10 years’ experience working in a supply chain department
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· Five years of leadership experience
· Previous experience as a hospital materials manager
· Master's degree preferred
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
One or more of the following Supply Chain Certifications:
AHRMM Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP)
Association for Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification
Certified Medical Insurance Specialist (CMIS)
· Supervises facility-level Supply Chain staff
