Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Assists with the budget process and roll out hospital wide.

  • Assists departments understand budget variances.

  • Monitors department budgets and variances.

  • Coordinates, communicates with department directors/managers for budget variance explanations.

  • Meets deadlines for established goals in an accurate and efficient manner.

  • Provides support and assistance in developing and communicating actionable information at all levels of the organization.

  • Focuses on process improvement strategies with special focus on financial outcomes in support of department and process initiatives.

  • Provides training to co-workers as needed, appropriately and effectively.

  • Works on multiple projects as required and balance priorities by taking ownership and planning tasks related to the projects under the direction of the manager.

  • Communicates and presents effectively with management, internally and externally.

  • Effectively documents work performed.

  • Maintains awareness of project status and anticipates potential roadblocks that may affect project completion and communicates issues with the manager.

  • Works effectively with numerical data and a thorough understanding of financial principles.

  • Utilizes critical and analytical thinking skills, with general knowledge of software tools used in job functions.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in a Business-related field is required.

  • Two years job related accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare industry setting, using an automated accounting system.

  • Proficiency in the use of standard office equipment (calculator, computer, typewriter, etc.) and Microsoft Office specifically Excel.

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

  • Proficiency in the use of People Soft.

Job Summary:

This position provides the opportunity to apply technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to provide solutions/improvements within the department. Responsible for completing financial and/ or operational analysis of contracts, developing and tracking key performance indicators, financial modelling comparative analysis and bench marking. This person demonstrates competences in decision support and reporting through converting raw data into useful and actionable information. This person is responsible for compiling and analyzing data as well as for creating meaningful applications to support executive decision making. Character traits include: strong work ethic, trainability, communicative, team player all with a positive “can do” attitude
