Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Transports patients to the OR suites via stretcher or bed safely

  • Performs patient transfers safely utilizing safety devices

  • Follows Patient Identification Policy

  • Responds to intercom calls in a timely manner (<5Min)

  • Cleans and assembles appropriate equipment and supplies according to Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) standards

  • Removes bio hazardous materials according to policy

  • Transports surgical specimens to pathology and laboratory according to policy

  • Ensures stock levels meet daily requirements

  • Tags and Reports malfunctioning equipment promptly

  • Restocks scrub sink areas, locker rooms and fluid/blanket warmers

  • Demonstrates knowledge of different beds, positioning devices and equipment in the Operating room


What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to read and write English Language

  • High School Diploma


Job Summary:

This position performs as a member of the Operating Room Team by maintaining a clean and safe environment in the Operating Room suites and assisting the Registered Nurse.
