The role you’ll contribute:

Responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Assesses patient knowledge of breastfeeding.

· Assesses effectiveness of newborn breastfeeding behaviors and teaches these assessment skills to the mother.

· Prepares an appropriate plan of care for the breastfeeding mother and infant.

· Communicates the plan of care to the mother and her partner as applicable.

· Implements appropriate plan of care to assure optimal newborn nutrition.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Graduate of an accredited School.

• Demonstrated expertise in the care of breastfeeding mothers, normal newborns, advocacy for breastfeeding and positive interpersonal relationships required.

• IBCLC Certification is required.

• Active BLS certification required.
