Overview

Clinical Responsibility:

• Performs admissions, consultations and follow up care of pediatric and adult cardiac patients and other procedures that may be required.

• Educates patient and family on treatment plans, surgical procedures, pre and post-operative care, etc.

• Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed

• Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff

• Always displays a caring and professional attitude

• Passion for cardiac patients and families

• Candidate must be able to successfully pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen

Knowledge, Education and Experience Required:

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies

• Strong communication skills

• “Team player” mentality

• Experience in Cardiology preferred

Schedule Details:

• Hospital locations covered: AdventHealth Orlando

• Mon-Fri: 7:30am-5pm

• Only on call 2 weeks rotation

• Holiday rotation

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

• Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license (or eligibility to obtain FL licensure)

• DEA certification required

• Genetic Assistant Certification preferred
