Waterford Lakes seeks to hire Lead, Inventory Control Mgmt (Clinical) who will

The Florida Hospital Waterford Lakes Emergency Department (ED) is anextension of our Florida Hospital East Orlando Campus – located just east ofeast. The 18,000-square-foot facility features state-of-the-art emergencyhealthcare serving the residents of East Orange County open 24-7. The 24-bed EDincludes an urgent care track to diagnose and treat non-emergent cases moreefficiently, an observation unit to closely monitor care for up to 24 hours,and offers emergent care supported by ground transportation if specialty careis needed. Our dedicatedteam of highly trained and skilled Advanced Respiratory therapists act as anadjunct to the physicians to provide support for airway management andpulmonary insufficiencies of the adult, pediatric and neonate patients.Respiratory Care is responsible for initiating and management of mechanicalventilators invasively and non-invasively, setting up and maintaining invasivehemodynamic monitoring, obtaining and interpreting arterial blood gasessampling, oxygen therapy, EKGs, medicated aerosol treatments and provideemotional and spiritual support of patient and family members as needed.
The Inventory Control Management
Lead is responsible for supporting departments for all supply/materials
functions. Responsibilities include guiding and assisting the Inventory Control
Par Technicians, generating requisitions for orders, receiving orders, tracking
and researching orders, managing inventory and adjusting par levels when
necessary. Effectively and expeditiously communicates changes in inventory or
incidences of unavailable inventory to the supply chain and/or clinical teams.
Reviews reports and data related to supplies and charges to ensure accuracy and
completeness. Responsible for processing and oversight of all repairs, and
assisting with the department’s capital equipment process as needed.
Contributes to development of action plans for supply cost savings and
management. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all
rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and
accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and
accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful
Knowledge,Skills, Education, & Experience Required:
Abilityto communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehendingEnglish effectively to carry out job requirements
Abilityto manage stress and handle challenging situations and personalities(Preferred)
Currentknowledge of medical terminology or completion of hospital approved course(Preferred)
Knowledgeof inventory control concepts (Preferred)
Abilityto lead staff (Preferred)
Oneyear of previous material management or hospital experience
Highschool graduate or G.E.D. equivalent (Preferred)
Previouslead experience. (Preferred)

Takesthe initiative in maintaining high standards and quality in thefacilitation of cost savings and containment. Collaborates with departmentleadership and operating room specialty coordinators on a regular basis toreview unit monthly item utilization and usage and other requests.
Actsas a liaison between departments regarding orders, cost centerdiscrepancies and various materials management issues. Ensures vendors areeducated regarding AdventHealth Policies and Procedures. Supports theclinical teams in ensuring vendors do not have access into surgicalservices areas unless authorized.
Mayassist and oversee the department ordering catalog and SurgiNetmaintenance as needed. Maintains unit Price File information, working withmanagement team on price file issues, cost per case analysis and ensuresthat departmental charge sheets are updated. Analyzes and corrects thedepartment JE Detail Report to ensure correct cost centers and are withinthe monthly budget guidelines.
Workswith AH Systems material management to ensure that all departmentinventory stock supplies have the appropriate MPC numbers. Works withleadership to set and maintain par levels for inventory. Works closelywith purchasing and the warehouse for any supply issues.
Managesthe inventory of implants. Scans all applicable implants to ensureadherence to FDA tracking guidelines. Utilizes computer system fortracking.
Mayfacilitate or participate in department repairs, loaners, and specialorders/requests within the budget for designated department.
AssistsInventory Control Par Technicians as needed and participates in thetraining and orientation of new materials/supply personnel.
Collaborateswith supervisor on special projects and special requests as situationsdictate.
Supportsthe customer and employee satisfaction activities of the organization.
