The role you’ll contribute:

The Program Coordinator (PC) is responsible for organizing programs and offerings provided by CFD-South Nursing for student experiences. This includes overseeing all aspects of program planning, implementation and maintenance related to the school programs, onboarding, and any other offerings related to the student nurse population.

The PC will independently coordinate projects and programs when requested and will help plan and organize programs and activities as well as carry out important operational duties. This includes creating program schedules, communicating key program information with participants, collaborating with facilitators and clinical leaders regarding logistics and other experiential needs to create an impactful learning experience. The PC will also help gather feedback from the experience and develop reporting for leadership review.

  • Understands the needs of our clinical and academic partners to create meaningful learning experiences for nursing students in our hospitals.

  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition and local clinical leadership to ensure program and process alignment.

  • Screen candidates to determine suitability for position in internships and clinical rotations.

  • Continuously builds candidate pipeline and maintains responsibility for ongoing candidate relationship management.

  • Travel to Heritage schools to promote our Heritage Nurse Internship. Travel will be about 35% of the time.

  • Coordinate itineraries for all nurse internship events including evening and weekend social events.

  • Address phone and email inquiries regarding the programs and offerings

  • Plan program and offering aspects, such as location reservation, scheduling presenters, floorplan layout, catering and materials

  • Ability to delegate event planning tasks to other team members where necessary

  • Strong knowledge of venue and program offerings to inform team members as needed.

  • Coordinate program speakers and / or facilitators, entertainment / social events, meals and travel / lodging accommodations as needed

  • Communicate with and support program participants through the lifecycle of the program as well as any communication / advertisement strategies as deemed necessary

  • Communicate with creative services / communications team to create and / or maintain program materials, announcements and articles

  • Anticipate and plan for possible different scenarios

  • Organize planning meetings, capture minutes, including action steps and follow up with key stakeholders

  • Administer program related assessments (DiSC, WorkPlace Big 5, etc.) as needed

  • Create and maintain content and materials in program participant online portal

  • Communicate ideas and plans to facilitators and program development partners.

  • Independently produce reports as needed by leadership

  • Create process and procedural documentation for all programs and offerings

  • Receive all program participants in a way that aligns with our organization’s mission, vision, values, and service standards to ensure a positive service and learning experience

  • Produce presentations as requested by leadership

  • Research information as requested by leadership

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Associates degree or equivalent education/experience

  • 5+ years’ experience as a clinical assistant, project or program coordinator or in a professional support function

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology or like degree

  • Experience in health care

  • Leadership program coordination

  • 10+ years’ experience as an assistant or in a professional support function
