Program Director, OB GYN Residency Program, AdventHealth Orlando
AdventHealth is looking for a dynamic and experienced, board-certified OB GYN physician to serve as Program Director of our new Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at AdventHealth Orlando to start in 2022. The Program Director will have a strong passion for teaching and will develop a state-of-the art program based at AdventHealth for Women. The OB GYN residency will be comprised of a total of four residents per year. The new program director would have the responsibility to develop and lead the program in compliance with ACGME guidelines. Candidate should be interested in and experienced with creating a residency program to enhance program visibility as well as increase the number of accepted residents each year. Duties would be split between dedicated administrative time, teaching residents/medical students, patient care and surgery. A minimum of five years' experience in Graduate Medical Education as an Associate Program Director or Program Director is required for consideration.
Ideal candidate should bring a vision to increase academic activity including research, posters, and presentations. Dynamic communication skills and the ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth are required.
Other AdventHealth residency programs include Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Radiology, General Surgery, and Pediatrics. AdventHealth fellowship programs include Colorectal Surgery, Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery, Geriatrics, Women’s Health, and Gynecologic/Oncology.
Our AdventHealth Central Florida Division comprises 18 hospitals across seven counties. This position has the following requirements:
- M.D. or D.O.
- Active Florida license (or eligibility for an active Florida license)
- Board certification through ABOG or AOA
- Five years’ faculty experience as a Program Director or an Associate Program Director
