Acts as a change agent, evaluates environment for change readiness, and develops and implements plans for change.  Monitors change driven outcomes.Monitors and evaluates nursing practice.  Identifies professional growth needs of the nursing staff. Implements and evaluates a plan to address nursing staff, orientation, training, growth and development needs. Evaluates the impact of staff education on patient care.   Qualifications What Will You Need:         EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Master’s degree in health related fieldThree to five years’ experience in specialty EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:Master’s degree in NursingPast teaching experience in formal/informal settings with knowledge of learning principles for population served LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered NurseCertification is required for Clinical Specialist serving the Diabetic and Oncology populations.  For other populations, certification is preferred.  Job Summary:The Clinical Specialist is responsible for providing formal and informal education programs and clinical expertise in his/her specialty area to optimize patient/family, nurse, and systems outcomes and:directly or indirectly plans, implements and evaluates patient and family specific care appropriate to the complexity of the problems and resources of the systemassesses and evaluates care delivery models; implements changes based on outcome datadevelops education programs to improve patient outcomes and quality of caresupports the practice of nursing through orientation, training, staff development, research and involvement in professional organizationscontributes within the institution to establish clinical best practice system processescoordinates with multiple disciplines to solve system issuesActively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.  This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
