You Will Be Responsible For:
Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.This includes patients who have a significant cardiac history
Able to develop and revise treatment plan as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for each visit.Plan includes exercise and education goals.
Knowledge of medications, treatments and their correct administration based on clinical condition.
Ability to perform waived testing (point-of-care testing) per policies and procedures.
Ability to interpret results of waived tests; take appropriate action on waived tests results.
Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring, identifies dysrhythmias and treats appropriately
What You Will Need:
2-year Associate Degree; Diploma; or BSN
One-year Critical Care; Emergency Dept; or Cardiology Experience
Current CPR certification within a month of hire
Current ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
Cardiac dysrhythmia class within 90 days of hire or demonstrates proficiency in cardiac rhythm recognition
Provides direct patient care in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Monitors patients during exercise sessions. Nursing responsibilities focus on the preventive and restorative healthcare needs of the cardiovascular patient. Cardiac Rehabilitation RN communicates with the patient’s cardiologist regarding changes in the patient’s clinical condition and any changes. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient’s condition and response to treatment. Participates in performance improvement activities.
