The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

· AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.

· The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.

· This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.

· AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and women’s care.

The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, the Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. Is authorized and delivers quality care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric. Meets with customers, partners and team members to ensure service levels are maintained (Rounding). Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Utilizes two patient identifiers to confirm patient/exam accuracy before continuing with patient examination. Reviews and ensures physician request meets clinically valid exam indicator requirements. Prepares appropriate radionuclide for procedure, explains procedure to patient and aseptically administers radionuclide using universal BSI principles

· Ensures that equipment has met all quality control requirements and, working with minimum supervision, performs patient examination utilizing age-specific care techniques (see competencies) in a safe and responsible manner, utilizing proficiency with camera acquisition and computer processing while evaluating image quality to ensure good technical and diagnostic detail

· Presents completed exam and any patient historical data to radiologist/cardiologist for review. Assists with image manipulation or additional imaging as requested

· Assists patient with dressing, answering any questions the patient may have regarding their exam and expectations of results and releases patient with directions to exit the hospital if needed

· Maintains room in ready status by keeping room neat, supplies well stocked and equipment prepared for next patient. Initiates and documents work order requests for any equipment that is not functioning properly

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· Associate's degree from accredited program

· One-year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist

· American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

· Basic Life Support - CPR Cert

· Nuclear Medicine Technology Cert Board

· Nuclear Medicine Technologist
