Work Hours/Shifts:

FT Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Utilizing critical thinking skills to monitor and appropriately reports changes in patients’ cardiac rhythm, vital signs and physical assessment and condition.

  • Administer medication, calculate and adjust medicated drips correctly for all age populations served.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in technical skills and operational knowledge of all equipment used on the unit.

  • Demonstrates recognition of emergency codes and consistently implements appropriate emergency procedures.

  • Adjusts staffing as warranted by census and finds staff for staffing needs in coordination with the director and/ or house supervisor.

  • Serves as a preceptor, mentor and resource to all staff nurses as needed.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • ASN or BSN degree

  • Current GA RN license

  • BLS certification

  • One-two years minimum nursing care preferred

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients on the unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of related clinical activities.
