Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time Nights

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • The charge nurse is responsible for ensuring the assessment, evaluation, implementation and planning of patient centered care by self and members of the clinical team for all ED patient visits during his/her shift according to the standards of care of Central Texas Medical Center and the Emergency Nursing Association.

  • Performs basic nursing functions as delineated in the staff nurse role.

Provides sound leadership decisions that is conducive to promoting the mission of Central Texas Medical Center.


What You Will Need:

  • Graduate from an accredited school

  • One year related experience and/or training in Emergency Nursing

  • Current certificate in C.P.R.

  • Current certificate in ACLS,

  • Current certificate in TNCC within 12 months of hire date

  • Current certificate in PALS or ENPC within 90 days of hire.

  • Current license as an RN in the state of Texas.

Job Summary:

To provide clinical leadership to the clinical staff through the coordination, prioritization, and facilitation of the delivery of care by team members during their shift and to provide nursing services, regardless of the age, disability, economic status, gender, national origin, race, religion or health problems of the client served.
