FT / Days
You Will Be Responsible For:
Responsible for a holistic, individualized assessment of each patient in relationship to age, physiological, and psychological status.
Interprets, evaluates and implements physician orders in a timely manner.
Is knowledgeable of commonly used drugs/solutions used in the cath lab, stress lab, and medical imaging and properly administers them.
Participates in the transfer of patient information to provide for continued quality care.
Documents all phases of patient status while responsible for their care.
Is able to gather all supplies and set up a sterile field for each procedure that is performed in the cath lab and interventional radiology.
Demonstrates the ability to provide post procedure hemostasis and correctly applies post procedure dressing.
Participates in equipment quality controls and quality improvement efforts.
What You Will Need:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Must hold a current license as a RN in the state of TX.
One year related experience and/or training.
Must hold a current certificate in C.P.R. and A.C.L.S. from the AHA
Interventional Cath Lab experience (preferred)
A Registered Nurse who is responsible for appropriate and safe care of patients. Must work independently as well as within the team. Will cross-train to the Stress Lab, Interventional Radiology, and all roles in the Cath Lab, except radiology.
