Full Time Days
Responsible for the development, implementation and continued maintenance of a comprehensive review of antimicrobial usage. These responsibilities include the coordination and dissemination of drug information regarding the use of antimicrobial drugs and management of antibiotic utilization.
The Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacist will serve as a pharmacy liaison to Antibiotic Stewardship Committee, Infection Control, and Infectious Disease Physicians at FHHD and FHW; while working closely with the Microbiology Department to evaluate antibiotic susceptibility and resistance patterns.
The Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacist is also responsible for the Department of Pharmacy Services staff development program with regards to Infectious Diseases and Antibiotic Utilization.
Reports to the Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator/Director of Pharmacy/Quality Director.
Actively participate in therapeutic drug monitoring programs (i.e, drug utilization review, drug use evaluations, adverse drug reactions programs, therapeutic substitutions and antibiotic management programs) specifically for antibiotics.

The responsibilities of an Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacist include but are not limited to the following:
What You Will Need:
Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Florida.
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Pharmacy
Fully understands and can apply all state and federal laws and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.
Must possess excellent knowledge of current drug therapies, drug interactions, pharmacokinetics, and sociologic principles necessary to assist in the safe and effective utilization of drugs by patients
Must have documentation that supports the attainment of the following skill sets:
Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration
Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories, with the ability to perform basic patient assessments and referrals
American Society of Health System Pharmacist (ASHP) Board Certification
One Year Previous Hospital ID pharmacist experience
Doctor of Pharmacy.
ASHP accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency.
