The role you’ll contribute:

Coordinates administrative functions and performs all executive secretarial duties necessary for the Vice President-Chief Nursing Officer. This role requires experience in organization and communication skills. Assures a smooth flow of information and programs between administration and other hospital departments.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

Acts as liaison between Executives and hospital departments and staff members to promote positive working relationships at all levels

Alerts Vice Presidents to matters that need immediate attention

Discards mail which has no relevance; consistently opens and sorts mail and places in order of importance

Answers telephone in a courteous and efficient manner. Handles callers without instruction or prescribed procedures.

Assists Vice Presidents with administrative duties and solving minor administrative problems as requested, handling matters in an efficient, professional, and tactful manner

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Computer, printer, telephone, fax, overhead projector, LCD projector, copy machine and calculator.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to multitask and work in an active environment

Strong communication (verbal & written) skills, organizational and follow-through skills

Flexibility and adaptability to change, with ability to function in a highly independent manner

Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve effectively

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

Knowledge of clinical and non-clinical acute care setting

Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards for hospitals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School graduate or equivalent.

Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare related experience

Two (2) years Secretarial/Administrative experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

One (1) year Executive Secretarial/Administrative experience in a healthcare setting
