Work Hours/Shift:

Full time

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Accurately places into stock wholesaler and direct orders with stickers.

  • Accurately posts charges and credits.

  • Answers telephone identifying self and department, assisting caller.

  • Completes order requisitions to Purchasing Department both accurately and timely.

  • Ensures assigned areas are checked for outdates and documentation completed for life safety replacement (ex. code carts).

  • Ensures correct labeling for all oral and injectable preparations documenting lot numbers and expiration dates for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Good Computer skills

  • State of Florida License as Registered Pharmacy Technician within one year (365 days) of start date

  • Pharmacy Technician Trainee Certification Board (PTCB) Certification (CPhT) within one year (365 days) of start date.

  • Previous Pharmacy Technician experience (preferred)

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician Trainee is a non-registered and certified or non-certified assistant to the Pharmacist. The employee will be trained and ultimately expected to perform various drug distributive, record-keeping, and accountability functions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. They must also obtain national certification (CPhT) and state licensure within one year (365 days) of start date.
