The role you’ll contribute:

The Administrative Risk Coordinator is part of a multi-entity facility Quality and Risk Management team and reports to the Administrative Director of Quality, Risk and Safety. This position coordinates support functions related to risk, litigation, and claims and well as managing designated risk management programs. In addition, this position is responsible for management of assigned data projects or registries. This position requires the ability to make independent judgments of an administrative nature at the discretion of or in the absence of Director. The ability to interact with a wide variety of people, to set priorities, have flexibility in work patterns, discretion, initiative, and self-discipline are traits of prime importance.

Position Core Competencies

  • Handles the Certificate of Insurance requests and distribution in collaboration Corporate AdventHealth

  • Manages the notary program

  • Manages the driving program in coordination with Human Resources- ensures insurance and driver’s license compliance and checks.

  • Assists w/litigation and claims management

  • Gathers and compiles documents for production of document and interrogatory responses

  • Works with outside legal to set up deposition preps and deposition times for hospital personnel

  • Assists with insurance application completion

  • Monitors event reporting response and standard of care completion – runs reports, communicates with leaders

  • Completes litigation holds

  • Completes chart abstracts or timelines

  • Manages contract data for regulatory compliance

  • Manages annual scopes of services completion

  • Compiles, analyzes, and enters / uploads data for special assignments or databases

  • Assists and uploads data into Premier for FPPE, OPPE and reappointment profiles

  • Uses department software to compile reports

  • Completes graphing and display of data as assigned

  • Acts as personal assistant to the Department Administrative Director and their leadership, handling all correspondence, appointments, employee files, and other duties

  • Conserves the department members and Director’s time by anticipating needs and researching questions.

  • Resource for the department related to clerical functions: typing, filing, coordinating meetings including room set-up, catering, agendas, minutes, simple data tabulation, and assistance in preparing presentations, etc.

  • Serves as a Payroll Timekeeper

  • Provides documents that are attractively formatted and without typographical/grammatical errors

  • Maintains an organized workflow system, prioritizes workload to meet deadlines

  • Performs Notary public duties for department re: litigation, claims, etc.

  • Gathers research data from various sources as directed.

  • Triage complaints from physicians, associates, visitors and family members.

  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and business information.

  • Recognizes and manages risks

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Windows, typing/word processing

  • Comfort with utilizing in software programs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Associate’s Degree or Graduate of a Technical School

• 5 Years of Position-Related Experience

• Paralegal Completed an ABA-approved program or one that meets ABA standards
