Work Hours/Shift:

Monday – Friday

8:00AM – 5:00PM

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Assumes responsibility for daily operations of Cardiovascular, pulmonary, and Heart Failure Rehab dept/program and the cardiovascular community education department and programs such as Heart Aware, Take Time to LIV cardiometabolic program.

  • Provides supervision and direction to Cardiopulmonary Rehab and community education staff.

  • Works in close collaboration with the medical directors in all aspects of pulmonary and cardiovascular rehabilitation services and management and cardiovascular community events.

  • Assist staff in procurement of equipment and supplies, giving consideration to budget, current inventory, hospital procedures, and guidelines. Maintains equipment/supplies necessary for delivery of services.

  • Must possess comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular and pulmonary disease

  • Assures the patient billing is entered/checked daily with accuracy and maintains familiarity with all areas of reimbursement

  • Assures orientation of new associates; Assesses the strengths and developmental needs of staff and helps them develop to their potential; Provides and demonstrates commitment of personal and professional development.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience

  • Kansas Registered Nurse License or Kansas Respiratory Therapist License or Exercise Specialist Certification

  • ACLS certification

Job Summary:

The Manager has 24-hour accountability, authority and responsibility for quality of services, operational management, and human resource management for the cardiovascular and pulmonary rehab department, Heart Failure Clinic and the cardiovascular community wellness and education department. The Manager fosters the integration of the organization’s vision and values, and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan through an accountable work team. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Manager collaborates with patients/customers, families, physicians, administration and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient focused and healing environment.

The CVPR/Community Ed Manager reports directly to the Executive Director Cardiac & Vascular Services. The Manager is responsible for the operations, human resource management of the cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation department, Heart Failure Clinic and the cardiovascular community education department necessary to provide services in departments and coordinate community cardiovascular awareness, education, and screening programs such as Heart Aware, development of new cardiometabolic or CV wellness programs. The Manager will also coordinate speaking presentations and education to community groups, marketing of such programs, and tracking outcomes and program success.

The Manager is also responsible for the development and implementation of department policies and procedures, budget and planning, staff competency for the CVPR department and the cardiovascular community education dept. In addition, the Manager is responsible to maintain and meet accreditation and regulatory requirements through accrediting bodies for departments of responsibility. The Manager is also responsible for human resource management, customer loyalty and department Performance Improvement.
