You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Appropriately answers the phone, directs calls and takes messages.

  • Maintains a pleasant, caring attitude when greeting customers and patients.

  • Maintains flexibility when staffing needs require a change in duties.

  • Works collaboratively with Leadership to provide accurate and timely reports.

  • Demonstrates and conveys a favorable image of the Medical Center.

  • Maintains accurate record keeping.

  • Trains associates on function and use of Computrition as appropriate.

  • Maintains accurate data files in Computrition and keeps them updated as needed.

  • Incorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.

  • Accurately maintains statistical and financial reports.

  • Accurately cost catering functions and enters daily cafeteria statistics.

  • Accurately calculates galley, interdepartmental, catering, and child care charges; bills individual departments and submits to Accounting.

  • Accurate maintains data for Computrition and runs the appropriate reports (forecasting, ingredients, recipes, menu changes, publications, and inventory).

  • Assists in problem solving related to the cash registers.

  • Assists in problem solving related to Computrition as well as all printers in the department.

  • Demonstrates and promotes high standards for quality and productivity; focuses on results.

  • Adjusts and is flexible to meet changing work needs and demands.

  • Analyzes and maintains new information and updates regarding Computrition as well as keeping the system current.

  • Participates in training associates on Computrition upgrades.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· 1 or more years of Position-Related Experience

Job Summary:

The Data Systems Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity of an assigned department database and maintaining department statistics. Provides support through production of specified reports and metrics used in day to day operations of the department. Position is self-directed and works autonomously as well as possessing strength in communication skills, consensus building, detail orientation, follow-through and computer literacy.
